I’ve found an annoying kind of spam on the RailsWebHosts page. Bluehost’s entry was pure marketing — obnoxious and full of exclamation points. I reduced the ad verbiage down to whatever objective info was there. It was soon reset by anonymous. Then I discovered that the link wasn’t even to bluehost. It was to a spammer’s site which redirected to bluehost, with via an affiliate url.
I’ve figured out how to get rid of it for now, but I wouldn’t be surpised if it re-appears later. It’s something to be aware of: people attempting to stupidly cash in on this site’s traffic.
Hi,
I’m a computer programmer and law student in Portland, Ore. I’m also now a real Rails convert — I’ve personally experienced how great it is to use.
My blog is at http://greenfabric.com/robb
Aside from using Rails on the job, I’ve got a couple websites I’m developing with it: http://citatio.us and http://greenfabric.com
It’s been a good experience — developing rails apps on an inexpensive, shared hosted account.
