There is an excellent book on Ruby, affectionately called “The PickAxe Book.” The first edition is available online, while the second edition is available in PDF or DeadTree format.
Another great book is The Ruby Way by Hal Fulton. It gives you understanding of this magic “pixie dust” in Ruby.
